When Triplemelon invites you on a trip, forget about pretty itineraries, forget about relaxed days. This is about living on the edge, about improvising, about launching yourself into the unknown with people you barely know and who in less than 24 hours already seem like your tribe. A trip that begins with "What's the worst that can happen?" and ends with anecdotes that you can't even tell your grandmother. This was Cantabria, this was a weekend of adrenaline and controlled chaos. Get ready, because these people didn't stop.
Day 1
The house was there, with its calm air, facing the sea, as if it didn't know it was about to be taken over by a group of strangers with zero intention of staying put. We arrived one by one, new names, curious glances, but the vibe was clear: this wasn't going to be a normal trip. The guys from Triplemelon welcomed us with a quick talk about their philosophy, but what was clear to us was the message: stop doing what the world expects of you and start living the way you want. Challenge accepted.
Without wasting any time, we set off with a walk along the cliffs. And what cliffs! We walked on rocks that looked like something out of an action movie, with the sea crashing below as if it were trying to impress us. Some people slipped on the ground, but it didn't matter, we had a good laugh. The sun was setting, and the cold was starting to set in. Cantabria in its purest form, and we were eager for everything.
When we got back to the house, a bit wet from the light rain and our shoes covered in mud (of course), an improvised dinner awaited us. Nobody was a chef here, but with a few beers and good music, any dish tastes better. By the time the lights went out, we were no longer strangers. We were a team. Well, a somewhat disorganized team, but a team nonetheless.
Day 2
Day 2 started off strong. At 8am, there were already three brave souls jumping into a freezing cold pool as if they were competing to be the next Bear Grylls (The Last Man Standing). I wasn't one of them. Jumping into the water in Cantabria in January? I'll pass. But I'm not going to lie, it was fun to see them come out shaking like leaves, swearing that "it was great" while their faces said otherwise. But they jumped in again for a second time, it must be said.
Next up: horseback riding on the beach. Sounds idyllic? Yes. Was it idyllic? Well, kind of. Watching a bunch of city folks try to connect with horses that seemed to have more personality than us was a movie in itself. Mine decided walking was boring and took off running without warning. I screamed like I was on a roller coaster, but in the end, I enjoyed it. That mix of fear and euphoria is addictive, isn’t it?
In the afternoon, the beach awaited us. Not to rest, of course, but to feel the wind ripping off our hoods while the waves seemed to want to swallow us up. But it didn't matter. We were there, playing games and laughing in the middle of nature, having a great time.
The night came with a party that could only go well. They brought a DJ to the party! They put up disco lights and we had a few drinks, we're not going to lie... and we were dancing like there was no tomorrow. Some people ended up jumping into the pool again, at 2 in the morning! (Seriously, what's up with that pool?!). It was an incredible laugh. And of course, for the second time it was the guy from Triplemelon who jumped in.
Day 3
The third day had the best in store for us. Surfing. For many of us it was our first time. Triplemelon organised a class with an instructor so we could all surf. For me, it was my first time. The wetsuit didn't do much against the cold, but the adrenaline took care of the rest. I caught one wave after another, but on one I managed to stay standing for at least two seconds. This wasn't just surfing; this was pure life.
And when we thought that nothing could top it, the Jeeps arrived. They weren't for a nice walk through the woods. No. They were for crossing muddy paths, climbing slopes, dodging trees, ... It was a good time.
When we got back home, it was time to say goodbye. Suitcases full, bodies exhausted, but hearts full. We had started out as strangers and ended up as a kind of dysfunctional family. Because that's what Triplemelon is: it's not about clothes, it's not about travel, it's about a way of life. About making every experience count. And this was just the beginning.
I learned that Triplemelon is for everyone who is willing to squeeze every second out of their life, for those who are looking for experiences that will be remembered for a lifetime. It doesn't matter if you're the first to jump into the pool or if you prefer to watch with a hot cup of coffee in your hand: the only thing that matters is that you want to live, laugh, connect and take advantage of every moment. If that resonates with you, you're part of Triplemelon. We know they're organizing many incredible plans so we can all get together, so... don't miss out!
